Community Spotlight on Staci Whitney, Senior Forensic Interviewer at Bivona

Education is a key component to the work we do at Bivona. In addition to her day-to-day job helping children in our community, our Senior Forensic Interviewer Staci Whitney, LMSW, works with Scott Modell to bring information about child abuse prevention and intervention specifically related to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities to organizations and advocacy centers across the country. Recently, Staci participated in two regional training opportunities for professionals who work to protect children including a week-long seminar to combat crimes against children at the New York State Police Academy in Albany hosted by the New York State Police and she delivered the Keynote Address at the 7th Annual Bucks County Conference on Crimes Against Children hosted by the Bucks County Children's Advocacy Center. We are so proud to have Staci on our Team!

Having the opportunity to work with teams throughout the country and teach at conferences in and outside of New York State has been an amazing experience. The more we know, the better we do and with each training we find people who can implement new skills in their practice to better serve our most vulnerable clients. There is a lot of great work happening in our country around the issue of child abuse and I am thrilled to be a part of the solution.
