Privacy Policy

Your trust matters to us

Purpose

Maintaining the privacy of your personal information is of the utmost important to the Bivona Child Advocacy Center (“Bivona”). This online Privacy Policy describes how Bivona collects and maintains all personally identifiable information that is obtained through Bivona’s web site: bivonacac.org (the “Web Site”). The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to explain how we will use any information we obtain from this Web Site, as well as the practices and procedures we have implemented to protect your personal information. Please be aware that Web Site sponsors, advertisers, or web sites that have links on our Web Site may collect personally identifiable information about you on their web sites. The information and privacy practices of those organizations are not covered by this policy.

Personal Information

You can visit the Web Site without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself. However, to access certain portions of the Web Site, you may have to submit information such as user-id and password, or to access some services we provide, you may have to give us personal information such as your name and address and e-mail.

On certain portions of our Web Site we may collect information necessary to process a transaction or to contact you later. If we collect personal information (as described below), you may later access and modify it, and remove it from our system. We use the collected information described above to complete, support and analyze your transactions on the Web Site, use of the Web Site, for other internal purposes and to comply with any requirements of all applicable laws, rules and regulations. In addition, this information may be disclosed to our staff and to third parties involved in the completion of your transaction on the Web Site.

In addition, we may use any ideas, concepts or techniques contained in such information for any purpose, including developing, improving or marketing our products and services. This Privacy Policy applies solely to our Web Site and our on-line activities directly and indirectly relating to it. If our Web Site is linked to, or from, a web site of another entity or company, we are not responsible for the privacy, practices or policy of the other entity in any way, or the content of its web site. You may later access and modify any of your personal information, or have it removed from our Web Site. You may also simply choose not to provide your personal information at the point of collection; however, if you do not provide such information, we will be unable to complete your transaction.

We intend to protect the quality and integrity of your personally identifiable information. We have implemented appropriate physical, technical and organizational measures, such as using industry accepted encryption for transmission of credit card information, to help keep your information secure, accurate, current, and complete.

Exceptions to Non-Disclosure

Bivona only discloses your personal information with other companies or individuals outside of Bivona in the following circumstances: (A) in accordance with this Privacy Policy, (B) to our affiliated companies and trusted business partners or individuals for the purpose of processing personal information on our behalf, and (C) if necessary to protect our legal rights, if the information relates to actual or threatened harmful conduct, or Bivona has good faith belief that such action is necessary to (1) conform to the requirements of law, rule, regulation or comply with governmental orders, court orders, or legal process served on Bivona, (2) detect, prevent, assess and otherwise address fraud, security other technical issues (this includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk protection), or (3) to protect and defend the property or rights of our Web Site, the users of our Web Site or the public.

Web Site Traffic Information

When you arrive at or leave our Web Site, we automatically receive the Web address of the site that you came from or are going to. We also collect information on which pages of our Web Site you visit while you are on our hosted site, the type of browser you use and the times you access our hosted sites. We use this information only to try to better understand visitor preferences and to manage the load on our servers.

Cookies

We sometimes use cookies to collect anonymous information from visits to our Web Site to help us provide better service. Bivona recognizes that parents, guardians, or other adults often purchase our products for family use, including use by minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 for marketing purposes, but because some information is collected electronically, it can appear to be the personal information of user, and will be treated as such by this Privacy Policy. If a child under 13 submits personal information to Bivona and we learn that that personal information is the information of a child under 13, we will attempt to delete the information as soon as possible.
