Mary Whittier Executive Director Mary Whittier led the development and formation of Bivona Child Advocacy Center. Mary has worked with children and families for more than 30 years. Her experience includes work at Hillside Children’s Center, Monroe County Child Protective Services and Golisano Children’s Hospital. Mary holds a BSW from Buffalo State College and LMSW from the University of Buffalo. She serves on the Board of Directors of the New York State Chapter of the National Children’s Alliance, the Rochester Police Department Foundation and is a member of the Council of Agency Executives.

She has worked in philanthropy for over 17 years and her donor-centered experience includes Lollypop Farm and Rochester Area Community Foundation. Cynthia holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Roberts Wesleyan College and a BA in Creative Writing from Binghamton University. Cynthia is a 2015 ATHENA Young Professional Finalist and a 2011 Leadership Rochester alumna. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals - Genesee Valley Chapter and co-chairing National Philanthropy Day.

Stefanie Szwejbka Prevention Education & Volunteer Coordinator Stefanie Szwejbka joined Bivona Child Advocacy Center in October of 2012.  She previously worked as the Multidisciplinary Education Coordinator for the Child Advocacy Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina and has worked for the US Army as a Child Advocate and Family Violence Prevention Trainer. She received a BA in Psychology from Oklahoma State University and MS in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina.

Staci Whitney, LMSW Forensic Interviewer Staci Whitney joined Bivona Child Advocacy Center in March of 2012. Prior to joining Bivona, she worked for the University of Rochester Medical Center with the REACH Clinic and Division of Adolescent Medicine as well as the emergency department. Staci received her BS in Social Work from Nazareth College and her MSW from Greater Rochester Collaborative Program of SUNY Brockport and Nazareth College.
