Dan DeLaus

Daniel M. DeLaus, Jr. serves as Deputy County Executive, a position he has held since December 2009.
Dan previously served as Monroe County Attorney from 2004 – 2009. Before joining the Brooks Administration, he worked as an attorney in private practice. Dan has also served as an Assistant Public Defender with the Monroe County Public Defender’s Office.
Dan is currently Chairman of the Town of Penfield Zoning Board of Appeals and is a past member of the Town of Penfield Planning Board. He is the immediate Past President of the County Attorney’s Association of the State of New York.
He received his Juris Doctorate from the State University of New York at Buffalo and is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelors Degree in History.
Dan is the Legal Advisor to the Webster Girls’ Softball Association and a coach for youth softball and baseball. In his free time, Dan enjoys golfing. He resides in the Town of Penfield with his wife, Sandy, and their three children.
