Marisol Lopez
Marisol O. Lopez is the Administrator for one of the City’s Neighborhood Empowerment Teams, a community quality‑of‑life initiative that teams residents with city staff to devise and achieve effective solutions to neighborhood problems.
In her role as NET Administrator, Marisol works closely with members of the Rochester Police Department devise strategies to bring City government closer to residents and business owners so quality of life issues can be addressed more quickly and effectively.
Marisol is a 1992 graduate of Barry University in Miami, Florida with a B.A. in Communications, and has served the City of Rochester since 1997. She served as Mayor William A. Johnson’s Chief of Staff from 2001‑2005.
Marisol is a board member for The Center for Youth Services, the Ibero-American Action League, and a founding board member of Bivona Child Advocacy Center. In 2004, she was named a Forty Under 40 honoree by the Rochester Business Journal, which honors the top forty young business leaders in the greater Rochester area.
Prior to moving to Rochester, Marisol lived in Miami, Florida where she devoted six years to Miami’s youth working for a non‑profit organization dedicated to developing their leadership potential. She is committed to ensuring that the resources necessary for youth to succeed are available and accessible.
Marisol is married to Richard Lopez and together they have two sons, Richard and Marc-Jacob.
