Honorary Board Member
Kathie Bivona
Kathie is originally from Auburn, New York where she grew up with John Walsh. After Adam’s tragedy, she and Lou along with professionals from the Rochester Community began the Adam Walsh Center now known as The National Center For Missing & Exploited Children.
For the past 25 years, Kathie has been actively involved with the organization serving on its Advisory Board, Executive Committee, and fundraising. She is especially thrilled with the success of NCMEC’s signature "Black Tie Auction" which she has chaired for the past 24 years.
Kathie is proud to have the Bivona Child Advocacy Center bear her name and is awed by the amazing work they are doing. She is most pleased to serve as an Honorary Board Member and be a part of the Nominating and "Open That Bottle Night" Committees.
Kathie has a degree in Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She owned & operated a clothing store in Syracuse before moving to Rochester. Today she feels blessed to have a small accessories business, “Green Eyed Girl.”
In her spare time, Kathie enjoys working out, travel, reading, entertaining and time with family & friends. The best…her three grandchildren, Jason, Brooke & Ava. They make it all worthwhile!
