At Bivona Child Advocacy Center, we facilitate a collaboration of professionals who specialize in child abuse. They protect, treat and counsel children and their families so the journey of healing can begin.

Our mission

The mission of Bivona Child Advocacy Center is to coordinate and provide services and support to meet the needs of child victims of sexual or physical abuse and their families at a single and safe, child-friendly facility. The Center is committed to reducing trauma, promoting accountability, fostering healing, and advocating on behalf of child victims of sexual and physical abuse.

Our vision

That every child has access to the services of a children’s advocacy center.

Bivona Summit on Child Abuse

Join us April 25 & 26, 2012 for our annual Bivona Summit on Child Abuse, a multidisciplinary training conference for professionals. The Summit offers a comprehensive program at an affordable price, presented by national, regional and local experts in their field. Register by April 16th or contact us if you’d like to be included on next year’s invitation list.

Jon J. Aho

Treasurer

Law Practice, Harter Secrets & Emery LLP

Jon Aho provides general corporate counsel to individual clients. In addition, he is a member of the firm’s trusts and estates practice groups focusing on issues and concerns effecting owners of closely-held businesses.  His experience includes the following:

  • Drafting and negotiating employment agreements, confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements, and other documents relative to the ownership, operation and management of businesses.
  • Drafting wills and trusts, including federal estate and gift tax analysis.
  • Fiduciary liability litigation, representing both fiduciaries and beneficiaries.
  • Administering estates, including the analysis and preparation of state and federal estate and gift tax returns.
  • Drafting and negotiating transactional documents, including buy/sell agreements and documents affecting private and public placements of corporate securities.

Professional and Civic Activities

A lifetime Rochester resident, Jon has been active in local, state and national politics.

Prior to law school, he was a senior research analyst for the New York State Senate. During law school, he served as Executive Editor for State Constitutional Commentary for the Albany Law Review.

Jon is a member of the Monroe County and New York State Bar Associations.
