Our mission

The mission of Bivona Child Advocacy Center is to coordinate and provide services and support to meet the needs of child victims of sexual or physical abuse and their families at a single and safe, child-friendly facility. The Center is committed to reducing trauma, promoting accountability, fostering healing, and advocating on behalf of child victims of sexual and physical abuse.

Our vision

That every child has access to the services of a children’s advocacy center.

Bivona Summit on Child Abuse

Join us April 25 & 26, 2012 for our annual Bivona Summit on Child Abuse, a multidisciplinary training conference for professionals. The Summit offers a comprehensive program at an affordable price, presented by national, regional and local experts in their field. Register by April 16th or contact us if you’d like to be included on next year’s invitation list.

Board Member

Gary Domenico

Mr. Domenico joined General Code, LLC, in 2000 and acquired ownership of the company in 2007. He is currently President and CEO. General Code is a leading national provider of codification services for municipalities and a content management solutions provider for organizations in the private and public sectors. Prior to General Code, Mr. Domenico was President and CEO of IMPCO Enterprises, a direct marketing company, from 1992 to 1999. He has been active on a number of boards including ten years at the Ad Council of Rochester (1994 to 2004), the Gates-Chili Chamber of Commerce (2009 to present) and the Bivona Child Advocacy Center (2004 to present), including the role of Chairperson. Mr. Domenico was presented with the Board Leadership Award (Greater Rochester Awards) in 2009 for his work with Bivona and the prestigious Lantern Award from the Rochester Ad Council in 2000. He has a BA from Le Moyne College (1975) and an MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology (1977). Mr. Domenico has three children, is an avid runner and cyclist and he considers himself a golf hacker.
